The background of Amino Alliance®
Amino Alliance® is the brainchild of Diederik van Nederveen and his uncle, Em. Prof. Dr. Arne van der Gen. The idea came about after studying Nobel Prize-winning research.
With essential amino acids
The founder of Amino Alliance® Dietrick van Nederveen Meerkerk, has always been health conscious. It was part of his upbringing. His mother, a trained nurse, told him “always question if what you’re eating and drinking serves or harms you.” With that simple, but powerful advice he first sailed all over the globe. Initially as part of the crew on racing, and later as the captain of large sailing yachts. Then, during his years acting, and modeling in Europe, and Hollywood he met many famous actors and actresses. Like him, many of which were searching for ways to slow down aging, to retain their overall health and beauty. This motivated him to look beyond dietary also for science-based solutions. After reading many scientific papers and trying different formulas Dietrick consulted his uncle, organic chemist Dr. professor em. Arne van der Gen, PhD. The conversations that followed started a wonderful successful journey that eventually led to the inception and launch of Amino Alliance in 2009.

Amino Alliance® contains many good ingredients
Calcium ascorbate is a high-quality vitamin. The European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) has positively advised to make many important health claims based on this ingredient.
Arginine is a semi-essential amino acid. This means that under certain circumstances, it can no longer be produced in sufficient amounts by the body (and then becomes essential). In children, this is still produced sufficiently.
Lysine is an essential amino acid and is found in cheese, eggs, milk, meat, white and brown beans, poultry, and wheat.
Glutamine is an essential amino acid and is found in food in the form of glutamic acid. Whey protein, meat, fish, beans, and nuts are rich in glutamic acid.
Isomaltulose. This is not an amino acid, but it does have an important property. In order for Amino Alliance to work, it requires an energy carrier. That could be sugar, but we have chosen isomaltulose, in part because this substance ensures a slower, and therefore prolonged release of the product.
